The Big Apple

I have been back for a few weeks now but have been so swamped with work that I honestly barely have time to breathe, much less post anything.

But this I had to post...

The Gates, Central Park, New York, 1979-2005.

D and I were at the Met when we noticed these Orange flags outside. We initially thought it had something to do with the Netherlands...heh. Such plebs we are..

The sheer scale of it was cool, and the idea that it took decades to get approval to set it up, and the cost involved (financed by artists themselves). But to be honest, It just looked like lots of orange gates with tarp curtains.
