I read this really excellent article recently and I though I would share. I must warn you though that if you dont currently have kids, and plan on having at least one, dont read this. If I had known then what I know now...All Joy and No Fun: Why Parents Hate Parenting....

enjoyed reading the article - thanks for sharing. i have always detested the rose-tinted view of parenting potrayed in parenting mags and mom blogs..the best part oabout the article that i took away with me is that HAPPINESS is can either be defined by Moment To Moment experience (in which case, stay single and childless and travel the world!) or the Big Picture experience (to be able to really mean something and have a tangible impact in a person's life etc.
