We walked to Bondi for an early dinner. It was rather overcast and chilly yesterday evening, and we were getting fairly bored in the office so at 4pm, we decided we needed to do something different. We packed up our lap tops, walked the 15 minute downhill walk home, dumped our computers and put on our walking shoes. We were on the Eastern Coastal walk heading out to Bondi by 4.30pm. It was perfect walking weather. And so we talked the whole 90 minute walk. We talked about our work, where we intended to submit a paper we are working on together. We talked about D's presentations in December and how we needed to call the travel agent to confirm our flights. We wondered if it is possible that D's neighbours at the office are able to hear him fart. The walls are thin. But how thin? How do we test the ability for sound to travel from one office to another? I asked him what he wanted for Christmas. He said me. I told him I want a pony. He said he will put it on his to do list. We wondered what ponies eat. We discussed the results of the recent Australian Idol grande finale, how disappointed we are, and the show's revenue stream. We talked about the reported fund overhang in North America and the LPs such as Sequoia cashing in on Google. We analysed D's animosity towards his family, and his guilt over his animosity. We analysed my ability to let things go, but yet my elephant like memory when it comes to certain things. We talked until we located a restaurant where we could have a nice cold beer before dinner on the North side of Bondi. As we sipped our beers, we watched in silent awe the dedicated surfers pushing themselves out into the water, waiting to catch the waves as the sun sets in the horizon. We looked up together as the waiter tells us about the day's special, so many of them, from the Sydney Oyster entrees to the Special Seafood platter to share. We realised that we had order at least one of the specials considering the effort Mr Waiter had probably put in to memorise the number of Oysters and Bugs in the seafood platter, and the fact that he would have regurgitate his speech so many times through the night...

We shared our mains, sipped our beers, and enjoyed the end of yet another good day together.

Ah, I see the scathing posts that you and your posse (are they scorned muslims like you too I wonder?)posted post my last comment (though I must admit that I am wrong to have predicted the deletion of my post). Am I above you and your posse? I dont know for that is for Allah the almighty to judge. Just like how He will judge you for your proud beer sipping antics and the shameless fornications with that beloved kaffr. If this is the direction of a lot of muslimahs today, what will the future of Islam be? I am sure your posses-in-kufar will freak out to your defence following this post. May Allah have mercy on their souls too.

As one of you said he/she is sad being a muslim after reading my post, know that the ummah is sad after reading all those damning posts....

i just don't get it.

some people avoid pork and it's likes because they are haram, but drink beer and it's likes like a fish, when they know the substance is in the same haram category.

when someone enjoining other muslims to leave sinful things and enjoining others to do good things, people will say that this is jaga tepi kain orang, while in the hereafter during the intercession with Allah, all muslims will be questioned whether they do any dakwah to the ummat.

it's true that whatever sinful things you do are between you & Allah but as a muslim who have to care and love other muslims as we're sisters/brothers, we're obliged to remind others and be reminded by others. this is not jaga tepi kain orang, this is simply what Allah orders us to do.

We can be sinful as sinful can be, drinking beer, copulate, leave solat, not fasting and what others may be , but that won't do any harm or lessen Allah in the least, not even the size of an atom. but surely, we are the losers, as we are so blinded to the true paths and we are so engrossed in the pleasures of our worldly life that we live according to what we desire, instead of obeying Allah's commands, and do nothing for our life in the hereafter.

Sofie dear (& your friends too), i hardly know u all, but surely i love you as sisters, we're bond by the religion and i'm writing here not because i'm above u all and more religious, but i just do my obligation to please Allah (and also to save my ass for the interrogation). May Allah guides us to the right way and keeps us there until the end. please pray for me too.

From today's Berita Harian:
http://www.bharian.com.my/m/BHarian/Friday/Agama/20041203080000/Article/
Hadis: Usah tuduh zina sesuka hati

Your youth has past, adulthood/motherhood should have already started, time is ticking. Your saham has dropped LONG ago. Younger women are flooding the market and men are not stupid to go for old goods when it comes to marriage.
I really pity those unmarried middle-aged women who try to justify their singledom by trying to act as if their life is perfect...

Anon.
respect the home that you visit.
If you want to preach, the decent thing to do is at least knock. The next decent thing to do is at least respect the opinion of others.

Sof & Rara. The house won.
